The campaign of Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, NPP flagbearer hopeful, is gathering momentum as he continues his constituency tour across the Eastern Region. At his recent stop in Achiase, he addressed the much-publicised press conference by the Bawumia camp, announcing that 15 MPs out of 23 in the region had endorsed the former Vice President.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of delegates, Mr Acheampong stressed that a handful of endorsements from MPs have no bearing and that the real decision-makers in the January 2026 flagbearer race are the grassroots, the delegates of the New Patriotic Party.
Delegates present in Achiase openly affirmed their confidence in Bryan’s candidacy, declaring their firm belief that he would secure victory in their constituency — a constituency that is also home to Hon. Kofi Marfo, the leader of the very 15-MP group that endorsed Dr. Bawumia.
For Bryan, the show of grassroots support underscores his message that the campaign is not about parliamentary endorsements but about reconnecting the party with its rank and file.
He reiterated his vision of inclusiveness and renewal, promising to empower the base of the party and ensure no delegate is left behind.
