Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC, Kofi Adomakoh has resigned. The Bank has officially appointed Farihan Alhassan, a distinguished banking professional with two decades of experience, as its new Managing Director.
With over 20 years of experience in the banking sector, Alhassan is well-positioned to drive strategic growth and innovation at GCB Bank.
Alhassan’s career achievements include becoming the youngest regional manager at Barclays Bank (now Absa) at the age of 26, a role that set the stage for his rapid rise in the banking industry. He later served as Head of Retail and Distribution at Absa, where his leadership style was lauded for its focus on people-first principles and operational excellence.
His appointment is expected to focus on strengthening the bank’s market position, expanding financial inclusion, and driving innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
