Land and water pollution in Ghana: Hon. Armah – Kofi Buah forms 18 Member Committee to check menace

The Minister of Land and Natural Resources Emmanuel Armah – Kofi Buah in collaboration with Hon. Murtala Muhammed, the Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology, inaugurated a Technical Working Committee focused on implementing reforms to combat the pressing issues of land degradation and water pollution.

The 18-member committee comprises a diverse group of members from relevant bodies, agencies, and organizations with expertise in such matters.
The core objective of the committee is to make informed recommendations to tackle illegal mining menace, which poses severe consequences for the environment.

The committee, chaired by Prof. Oteng Ababio, pledged to work diligently to develop effective policies to confront this pressing challenge.

Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, a key member of the committee ,assured the ministry of the support of the traditional authorities and chiefs in this endeavor.
