The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, paid a working visit to the Akyem Oda Government Hospital to assess the progress of the ongoing rehabilitation of the maternity ward a project he initiated during his tenure as Deputy Minister of Health.

During his visit, Hon. Acquah expressed his commitment to ensuring the hospital receives a much needed “face lift” as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year.

He highlighted the hospital’s rich history and its critical role in serving the community, emphasizing that the planned renovations are aimed at modernizing facilities and improving healthcare delivery.

To make this vision a reality, Hon. Acquah issued a passionate appeal to philanthropists, corporate organizations, and well-meaning individuals to embrace the “Adopt-a-Ward” initiative. Under this initiative, stakeholders are encouraged to partner with the hospital by adopting and renovating specific wards.

This, he noted, would not only enhance the hospital’s infrastructure but also significantly improve the quality of care provided to patients.
