The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Asiedu Nketia, has suspended his planned ‘Thank You’ tour of the North East Region over security concerns.

The decision follows the recent attack on a military escort convoy in Binduri, which resulted in the deaths of three civilians.

The tour, which was scheduled to last two days from April 29 to April 30, was halted after security advice was issued in light of the developing situation.

Party sources indicate that the suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of all participants and avoiding further security risks in the area.

The Binduri incident has heightened security concerns in parts of the North East Region, prompting increased caution around public activities involving political figures and their entourages.
